Software Test Engineer
£19,400 - £21,700
Ever thought about testing software and devices for racing yachts or cutting-edge medical devices? Dreamt of working on globally recognised, award-winning products? Or wished you worked just minutes from the beach?
At Bluefruit, that’s what we do.
Known worldwide for the quality of our code and our Agile practices, clients come to us for reliable, innovative solutions. And with the current explosive growth in the embedded and IoT industry, demand for our services gets bigger every day. That’s why we’re looking for logical team players to join our Test Team across a number of exciting new projects.
As a Test Engineer you will be a keen problem-solver, you love working to a very high standard and you want to work as part of a high-performing team. In this role you will become an integral part of a team supporting our Software Engineers whilst they release new software to clients. You will be providing a continuous and effective testing service to the teams whilst also being responsible for resolving hardware issues.
You will have a clear understanding of the necessity of quality, be quite methodical in your approach and tidy in your presentation. It is essential that you have an enquiring and logical mind with problem solving skills, and an openness to ongoing frequent training and upskilling. You need to be good team player, but also have the ability to work alone. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively is of great importance as well as a "can do" attitude.
Formal academic qualifications aren’t required but a keen interest in either Computing or Electronics would be highly beneficial.
