They do some really interesting products and develop software used to control satellites observing the Earth’s weather systems and deliver a wide range of projects and products to customers including the European Space Agency for satellites and spacecraft missions.
Products can vary from large scale system developments used to operate satellites to small technology studies involving prototypes and technology demonstrators. They also cover many software and IT aspects of the space and ground segments for spacecraft missions, including monitoring and control, planning, automation, operations data preparation, archives and big data analysis and they are also moving into product development to facilitate the trend of operating mega-constellations.
They are looking for Test Engineers to join their team of testers. You will be part of a team involved in the testing and integration of their software products and also get the opportunity to be involved in automation. You will also get to deal directly with customers so they need someone who has enough gravitas to be able to speak directly with customers about testing. You’ll need to have a software test background with experience of formal test processes including verification and validation. An understanding and appreciation of good software development practices is essential, including the contribution to software documentation. Any exposure to Java or continuous integration would be a great plus but is absolutely not essential.
Proven people will have the opportunity to contribute more widely to the Space Division and develop and grow within the company taking on leadership roles in the future so as well as getting to work on interesting projects there are also opportunities to develop in the future.
Salary is £27,000-£35,000 depending on experience.
