Software Engineers (New Team) Python, C# or Java
Remote and/or home working with 2 days in Cheltenham.
Up to £75,000 depending on experience + LOADS of benefits.
Although I love recruiting for the start-up and SME world. There are a few bigger companies that I really enjoy recruiting for, this being one of them. They are a global software tech company with offices in South Africa, Oz, France, UK and Asia where they create technology the help people perform better.
Now with over half a million users and a number of awards under their belt they are building out a new UK team as they bring more data focused products to the market.
This new team will be made up of 8 new engineers, reporting into the head of platform. The first 2 roles we are focusing on senior hires, this won't inc management responsibilities but you will be supporting new junior members of the team once recruited.
You'll work closely with the devops and platform engineers, although you don't need experience within the 'devops' world, skills like CI/CD, containers, Iac would be useful.
As this is a brand new team for the business, they are looking for people who will test the status quo and enjoys thinking about and implementing innovative ways to solve problems - and in doing this is not afraid to fail! Will have a commitment and motivation to try different ideas, approaches and improve results. Focus on priority actions and work and know-how to add value. Use initiative and keen to demonstrate ownership and take accountability for work.
All engineering is done in house and 60% - 70% employees are technology foucsed. Although they are a bigger business with 3000 employees across the globe the UK office has kept a 'start-up feel' super agile, no mega corp stuff here.
They opened a new UK office just before covid hit and whilst they are all working remotely for the time being, ideally you'll be able to come to the Cheltenham office twice a week. However they are flexible on this and looking for great people so if you would like to continue fully remote they are also open to this.
Some of their benefits inc:
Great socials (when allowed)
Friday early finish and free drinks (when allowed)
Match any charitable donations
Learning and development budgets
Access to plural sight and Udemy
Big annual hackathons
8% pension contribution
Salary up to £75,000 depending on expereince.
If you have got this far I'm guessing you are interested…. Please send your CV through and I'll be in touch asap. Thank you ?
