Software Engineer - Lasers - W Sussex - EO/IM310
Salary / benefits: negotiable c£30-50k depend upon experience

A leading manufacturer of Laser products and systems urgently requires a Software Engineer to design and develop software control systems for their laser devices.
Your duties will include developing Windows based GUI and embedded firmware.
You will also design and develop software for the testing of high power lasers and amplifiers.
The Software Engineer will be involved in Software design aspects of key projects, managing the development programme and timescales through to the release.
In addition you will be responsible for the creation of documentation to support the full engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, test specification, risk assessment and user documentation.
Working with development teams you will help to define quality systems and procedures, including document management and revision control.
You will also provide reports of test results, development progress and timescales.
Working in collaboration with all departments, and external suppliers, you will provide guidance and direction for assigned projects to support product development and commercialisation.
In addition you will provide technical support to manufacturing and field service teams as and when required.
As the successful candidate you hold at least a Bachelors Degree in Software, Engineering or similar.
You should have at least 5 years commercial experience, post-graduation, gained in a similar product development role.
