Our client has recently been acquired by Petroleum Experts, the world leader in petroleum engineering software tools for the oil and gas industry. These tools enable the industry to dynamically model their oil reservoirs, production and injection wells and surface pipeline networks as an integrated production system.

About the role:
They are looking for an experienced iPad / Android Software Engineer to help continue the development of their FieldMove and FieldMove Clino products for the geological market, with an aim to extend their technology and develop apps for the petroleum engineering sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-disciplined individual to join their team. Undertaking an Apps Team Software Engineering role, you should be comfortable in both app and desktop product development, as well as the app’s own build system, publishing, and deployment mechanisms.
You will be expected to interact closely with Digital Field Mapping geology specialists and reservoir engineers in the company as you help to develop and improve all aspects of the product.
Some travel between their Glasgow and Edinburgh offices may be required for a six-month period.
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate technical competency across a selection of the following disciplines:
-iOS (iPhone/iPad or) or Android platform development skills.
-Windows or Linux or Mac platform development skills; MSVS or GCC; Qt Creator.
-C or C++ programming and design; Boost.
-GUI development using Apple or Android native tools, Qt Quick, or Qt, or QML.
-3D graphics toolkits experience; OpenGL or OpenSceneGraph or Q3D or WebGL.
-GDAL, GIS, Oracle Spatial, PostGIS, ArcGIS SDK, SQLite; Protobuf; GPS skills.
-CI experience including cmake, JIRA, Perforce/Git SCC, Jenkins, JAVA, bash, batch files, TestRail.
-Apple, Android, Windows tool-set, build system, deployment experience including TestFlight.
-App Store, Google Play, Windows Store app registration and paid app publishing experience.
