Experience and Skills The ideal candidate will:

Have a strong educational background with a degree (2.2 and above) in an Engineering, Mathematical, Science or IT disciple, and a BBB and above at A-levels

As a Software Engineer, be proficient in complex programming in C/C++

Be hard working, ambitious and eager to acquire new skills

Must have the relevant documentation to work in the UK on a permanent basis

Must be able to pass a Disclosure Scotland basic security check

Excellent level of IT/Computer literacy

Good oral and written skills

Be well organised with excellent attention to detail

Be able to produce written work including update notifications to deadlines

Be prepared to travel to meetings in the UK, and occasionally abroad

Be able to work effectively within an international, multicultural team

Strong management and timekeeping skills.

Desirables of a Software Engineer, C/C++, OO Design, UML

Experience in designing and building scalable, responsive systems

Experience in developing multithreaded applications

Knowledge or experience of network and telephony protocols or services

Experience of developing within a Windows environment

An excellent telephone manner and the ability to converse with, and retrieve relevant information from, users at all levels of IT literacy and rank

Previous experience working in the IT and Telecoms sector

Experienced in working with the software development lifecycle, cloud platforms and/or the development of hardware and software

Full UK driving licence.
