A rapidly growing technology company is currently looking for a Software Development Lead to join their development team. Working in anAgileenvironment, the Software Development Lead will work with the development team to deliver high quality software for departments across the business to ensure the business is working as effectively as possible. The successful Software Development Lead will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of developers, working closely with Product Owners, Testers and the Head of Development. This varied role will give you a chance to not only still be technically hands on but also work in a senior role where you can mentor more junior team members, manage performance and be involved in the recruitment of new team members.

Key Responsibilities/ Deliverables for the Software Development Lead:

• Leading from the front, setting an example
• Refine User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
• Assist team decomposing User Stories into tasks
• Hands on development
• Ensuring completeness against Acceptance Criteria
• Unit test
• Report on technical debt
• Ensure quality of Software
• Enforcement and contribution to house standards
• Peer review
• Champion best practice and Agile methods

Required Experience for the Software Development Lead:

• Agile
• Continuous Improvement
• Hands-on full stack development
• Experience with at least one of the following languages Python, C#, C++, Java
• SQL (Preferably PostgreSQL)
• Web Services, REST
• Change Analysis
• Forming and evolving standards and processes

Desirable Experience:

• JIRA and Confluence
• Scrum Master
• Clean Code
• TDD
• Jenkins
• Salesforce
• Workflow systems
• System integration
• Linux
• Flexible and adaptable
