Our software development trainers and coaches are based in the Northwest (Manchester and Liverpool) and support the learning of our apprentices. Our apprenticeship training team supports and encourages each other, and as a result, have achieved both personal and professional success.
We’re now looking for ambitious Lead to oversee and manage our software development training team.
NowSkill's training centres are based in Manchester and Liverpool city centres, but at the moment, most of our training is delivered virtually, safely.
We are a professional training team who work hard to deliver to our employers and apprentices the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours for meaningful and rewarding careers. We have a direct contract from the Department for Education to deliver the very best digital apprenticeships, so you’ll need to have a professional manner, be presentable in appearance and ethical in the way you work.
We want you to be ambitious for yourself but more importantly, ambitious for the success of our apprentices and our employers.
You will be an inspiring individual, who can lead, develop, motivate and manage a team. Plus;
·Oversee and deliver high quality training, coaching and assessment to apprentices.
·Inspire, motivate and raise apprentices’ aspirations through their passion for the sector.
·Deliver inductions to new apprentices inclusive of initial assessments, CEIAG and H&S risk assessments.
·Conduct regular face-to-face sessions and progress reviews with apprentices and their employers, complemented by eLearning.
·Provide opportunities for apprentices to develop their English, maths and digital skills and knowledge.
·Embed Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Fundamental British Values into training content.
·Adhere to all NowSkills policies & procedures, Education & Skills Funding Agency, Ofsted and Awarding Body requirements.
·Report to the Operations Director to achieve agreed volumes of timely apprentice achievements in line with the business strategy and plans.
·To undertake additional projects and activities to meet the needs of the apprentices, employers and NowSkills.
·Share best practice amongst the Operations Team and attend all internal meetings/training as required.
·Maintaining continued professional development (CPD) and keeping up to date with all industry developments and practices.
