Software Developer, Front End

We are forming a brand new full stack, multi disciplined team in Manchester to undertake development of a customer interaction project within the CRM space, and are currently looking for Software Developers, Front End to join this exciting and vital part of the bet365 family. The Front End developer will focus on the presentation tier of the application (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), but work as part of a team developing the full stack of the application.

This is an exciting greenfield development programme where the technologies sit outside what we have previously recruited for in Manchester. You will have strong front end web development skills and an ability to operate within a cross-functional team delivering a rich and complex full stack application.

You will be joining a team of bright, enthusiastic developers who have a desire to learn and thrive on a challenge, with the opportunity to help us to continue to lead the way within the exciting and innovative industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering front end mark up and code with a focus on quality, efficiency and speed to market.
  • Working with a pragmatic, delivery focused cross functional team.

  • Making the best use of technology, learning new skills as required.

  • Developing a strong understanding of business needs and playing a part in determining how these needs are met.

Key Skills, Attributes and Experience:

  • Commercial experience with HTML5 and CSS 3.

  • Commercial experience within JavaScript.

  • Proven track record in high-availability multi-browser compatible development.

  • Passionate about software development and technology.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Experience of working with distributed or concurrent, multi-tiered applications.

Desired Experience:

  • Typescript, Vue.js, React.js, SASS, node.js.
  • Using an IDE such as VS Code.

  • Working within a delivery lifecycle involving multiple teams, each with discrete responsibilities for requirements, test, deployment etc.

  • Git or other Source Control system.

  • Responsive design.
