Commissioner - Adults Services - Newham - £30 - £40 Per Hour - 3 Months

Our client is a local authority looking for a Qualified Social Worker to work in the Adult Service Transformation team in a commissioning capacity.

To be considered for this role you must have: -

  • A degree in Social Work
  • Hold a full HCPC registration
  • Two years post graduate experience in a relevant team
  • Experience of working in Adult Services
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Driving licence and business insurance would be beneficial
  • DBS update is preferred by client

The role will involve: -

  • Take lead responsibility for the establishment and implementation of commissioning of services to achieve a programme of national and local objectives and priorities.
  • Commission a comprehensive range of high quality, responsive and efficient adult social care services for the Newham population.
  • Develop and implement the elements of commissioning, contracting and performance management frameworks.
  • Play a major role in assisting the development and implementation of an appropriate framework to support delivery of the commissioning agenda ensuring that the 8 steps in the commissioning framework are achieved.
