Working closely with other Cygnet hospitals in the area, our homely, 15-bed lodge provides a supportive, nurturing, locked rehabilitation environment for women stepping down from more secure care facilities.

As an AHCPC Registered Social Worker, you’ll work closely with staff to provide for our inpatients’ complex needs and requirements, creating relevant treatment goals, in liaison with health and social care agencies. Managing and minimising risk where appropriate, you’ll be actively engaged in the training and supervision of junior members of staff and students.

You’ll bring with you a Social Work Degree and have experience working with mental health patients within a dynamic MDT. Possessing knowledge and understanding of relevant mental health legislation, you’ll have experience in effective communication with families and external agencies. Able demonstrate the abilities, experience and skills needed to deal effectively and constructively with conflict in challenging situations, you have taken an active part in service improvement and in developing your knowledge and skills.
