Social Worker - Locality Team

3D Recruit are assisting managers within Hull City Council in seeking a Social Worker to join they Children’s Locality Team on a locum basis. The initial contract is 3 months with possibility of extension. The pay rate is £33ph. About the Job

As a Social Worker you will provide and support the delivery of high quality social work activities within the Hull Social Care Practice Model as part of a team, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people in need and their families. As a Social Worker you will also provide and support, expert and effective social work practice in complex situations, assessing and managing high levels of risk and providing expert opinion in relation to decisions surrounding complex cases.

The pay rate is £33ph, this includes accommodation costs if needed.

The role will be based is within the East team, which is one of the four Locality teams. The caseload is set to decrease per Social Worker as the team continues to grow - aiming for an average of 18 cases per Social Worker. Hull City Council use the Carefirst case management solutions.

Requirements

If you are interested in the role, you will need the following:

  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience within Children’s Social Work
  • You must have experience within one or more Frontline team i.e. Child Protection, Children in Need and Looked After Children
  • Applicants with previous experience within Assessment and Court Teams may still be considered dependant on the experience
  • Applicants with completed ASYEs within Frontline Teams may also be considered
  • Social Work England Registration/QTS
  • DBS on the Update Service or happy to apply for one
  • Satisfactory references
  • Right to Work in the UK
