This is an exciting time to join our business. You'll be part of a team aligned to the Marketing Support function, working with marketing teams and community managers across EMEA to plan, deliver and analyse the effectiveness of social media campaigns. As a Social Media Specialist, your key responsibilities will be;

  • Developing and delivering best in class social media tactics across the Canon brand

  • Supporting campaign and content planners with social media expertise

  • Managing the briefing of, and planning with, media agencies

  • Managing editorial calendars for social media

  • Analysing and understanding social media performance to provide data driven insights to the marketing function

  • Implementing and maintaining systems and tools that supports Canon's social media efforts

  • Working with an international community of community managers.

What We Ask:
To be successful in the role as our Social Media Specialist, you must have:

  • Previous experience in a Social Media role or similar web or digital marketing role

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and the role they play in both B2B and Consumer marketing

  • Confident with social marketing skills, such as copy writing, understanding of photo and video editing

  • Ability to analyse social media data and trends, ensuring the strategy is constantly evolving

  • Ability to be proactive and used to working in a fast-paced environment

You Will Need to be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Drive for results and achieve great results

  • Strong planning and organisation skills

  • Strong, effective communication skills - both oral and written
