SOCIAL CARE PROJECT MANAGER (Part Time)

CORE ASSETS GROUP is delivering a programme on behalf of Cheshire West & Chester Council to facilitate the safe and successful transition of young people from residential care into intensive foster care on a payment by results basis.

We need an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of this contract.

The successful candidate will be co-located with Council teams and provide the central liaison, working closely with the Children in Care social work teams, the young people through our mentoring service, Core Assets fostering operations, and all stakeholders to ensure that the young person is suitable for the programme,, engaged with the transition, and matched with the most appropriate foster family able to meet their needs. This will involve working with our fostering services to plan carer availability, optimising the use of the existing foster carer base, and informing future recruitment.

You will be responsible for ensuring the outcomes for the programme are met, if not exceeded, and providing regular reporting to stakeholders to demonstrate this. The successful candidate will also work with the client and Core Assets internally to update procedures and protocols to ensure the effective and safe operation of the programme.

Co-located with Cheshire West & Chester Council, the successful candidate will be expected to travel to our offices in the North West and nationally as necessary.

OTHER DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Ensuring on-going awareness of the programme and its benefits with relevant Council staff

  • Generating appropriate referrals to the programme

  • Ensuring that all areas of practice comply with the relevant Care Standards, Fostering Regulations and legislation

  • Ensuring the necessary Risk Assessments are completed in line with Company policies and procedures

  • Manage the management information process including reporting on KPIs and Outcomes, to the major stakeholders including the client and the Social Impact Bond investor

  • Manage the internal performance of the fostering services and to be accountable to the client on behalf of Core Assets

  • Ensure that Core Assets provider services meet the requirements of the proposed service model

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Qualified and experienced social worker

  • Experience of managing projects

  • Experienced /qualified in Prince 2 or Microsoft Project

  • Confident in analysing, working with and presenting KPI and outcomes data

  • Experience of contract management

  • Good communication skills

  • Good people skills

  • IT literate

This is part time, fixed term contract post (4 years) and comes with a salary up to £40k pa pro rata + benefits.
