Senior Environment & Waste Technician | Glenfield | On-going Role | £12.16 - £13.45 per hour

Your new company
A local Council in Leicestershire is looking to recruit a Senior Environment & Waste Technician to start ASAP.

Your new role
To assist in the management of Leicester County Councils Waste Transfer stations and Recycling & Household Waste Sites on-site operations, and to deliver operational commissioning implementation. You also will assist in the preparation of budgets and check expenditure for development and maintenance of sites and contracts in accordance with standing orders and to achieve budget compliance.

What you'll need to succeed
Applications are invited from candidates with Project Planning and evaluation experience.
Previous experience within a technical support role is essential.
Waste contract management and supervision is essential as is waste contract procurement.
You will also need to produce reports and monitor budgets.
Previous knowledge of waste management is essential and experience of local government processes and procedures.
You will have a BTEC National or NVQ4 equivalent COTC or equivalent (or willing to work towards)
You will also have knowledge of waste management and current waste related legislation including the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and WEEE Regulations
