SME Account Handler

A highly successful and progressive provincial insurance broker are looking to secure a SME Account Handler to join their established team.

You will work under a delegated authority schemes as well as open broking for trades across package, motor trade and motor sports and some engineering product lines. You will work with 2-3 Account Executives. You will be in contact with clients via correspondence, telephone and email including supporting administration functions.

In addition you will:
Chase outstanding all renewal terms from Insurers ahead of renewal
Update policy records on receipt of claims notifications
Ensuring that all post and diary activity is completed on a daily basis
Develop and maintain positive ongoing relationships with insurers, underwriters & customers in a professional manor
Weekly collation of the team’s work-state monitoring
Checking policy documents (including endorsements) for accuracy prior to issuing to customers
Processing, administration and invoicing of Mid Term Adjustments
Giving instructions to insurance providers
Assist with the administration of New Business cases

Competencies

The ideal candidate will have previous commercial insurance experience gained preferably within a broking environment. You will also possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
