Are you a part qualified small firm Accounts & Audit Semi Senior or even a fully ACCA qualified Accounts & Audit Semi Senior looking to join a good quality, small London based accountancy firm based in the North West part of Zone 1 Central London and carry out a varied role consisting of audit assignments, accounts preparation work, tax returns and various advisory based projects? Based in a general practice role, your role will be split 30% audit and 70% statutory accounts and tax returns, with a small element of your time spent on ad hoc projects such as management accounts, cashflows, budgets, forecasts, due diligence etc. Based in a small team of under 10 staff, you will be responsible for assisting on audit assignments and mainly carrying out audit testing, although you will very quickly progress so you can lead audit assignments yourself from planning to completion. You will also prepare statutory accounts, prepare draft corporation and personal tax computations as well as VAT returns and various other duties for your clients. Your role will quickly progress and you will be given responsibility so you can lead your own audits from planning to completion at a rapid pace. Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great progression prospects on offer. In this new role, you will gain exposure to a wide range of small and medium size businesses with turnovers to £7m. Clients sectors include property, trade associations, medical practitioners and other interesting sectors. The firm uses Caseware, VT and Sage software packages.
To be considered for this new role you must have at least two to three years experience in a small or medium size accountancy firm and either be a part qualified or a fully qualified Semi Senior. You must have experience of audit assignments, especially the audit testing phase but planning and completion experience would be a bonus. You must also have experience of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and liaising with clients. Experience of a wide range of software packages such as Caseware, VT and Sage would be an advantage as is a desire to work in a mixed general practice role. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace.
