Hours: 28 hours per week (Permanent) Monday – Friday 08.45am – 14.30
17.5 hours per week (Fixed Term until August 2019)
Wk1 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday / Wk2 - Thursday Friday

As a Scottish Welfare Fund/Blue Badge Administration Officer within Benefits & Revenue, you will be responsible for the administration of the Scottish Welfare Fund and Blue Badge schemes within the council.
As part of this role you will be required to vet, process and make decisions on applications to the Scottish Welfare Fund/Blue Badge schemes in accordance with council policy and procedures.
A basic knowledge of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction and welfare benefits is desirable. You must have the ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers and partners and be able to facilitate open discussion and debate to reach a resolution.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working to targets and timescales.
You should also have a good practical knowledge of IT packages and council software systems.
