Location: Intensive Family Support Services, East Kilbride Area Office, Civic Centre, Andrew Street, East Kilbride, G74 1AB
Permanent: 35 hours per week
Fixed Term: for 3 years - 17.5 & 35 hours per week
The post holder will provide an intensive service to children under 12 years of age and appropriate parenting programmes under the supervision of the Team Leader.
The main focus of the Under 12’s service will be to provide a high level of support to children and families at risk of Child Protection registration or where de-registration is being considered and will require flexible working patterns over 7 days.
This intensive level of support will empower and enable parents whilst achieving positive destinations for children and their families. Duties will also include liaising with appropriate agencies and recording of information in line with South Lanarkshire Council policies and procedures.
Experience of working with Children and Families in a community setting is essential as well as a minimum qualification of HND or SVQ in Social Care.
The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work and be able to adapt to different situations within an intense crisis response team. Post holders will be required to work unsociable hours, which may include evening and weekends and theses posts may be subject to future job evaluation.
Some of these are temporary positions for a period of 3 years.
