Job Title: Skills Coach

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000

Stafford based Apprenticeships service provider requires Associate Skills Coaches to work with students in the following areas: Teaching Assistants (up to level 3) and Early Years (up to level 3).

Reporting to the Curriculum Manager - Skills and Employability, you will be responsible for workplace coaching and assessment, e-portfolio assessment and liaison with employers and ensuring that learners achieve their chosen programme of study.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

·Support the recruitment, training and assessment of learners on Apprenticeship, QCF Award, Certificate or Diploma courses and Key Skills/Functional Skill Qualification

·Support Apprentices and other government funded leaners to achieve their programmes of study in a timely manner, ensuring the quality of delivery and assessment is delivered efficiently and is cost-effective

·Compliance with procedures and quality control measures, provision of structured advice and guidance to learners, workplace training and assessment against national standards

·Delivery of Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT, as required

·Create Learning and Assessment plans and assess learners work within an e-profile

·Promote Learning and Skills courses and services, giving relevant information, advice and guidance (IAG) to customers, and report back on any leads or actions taken

Personal Specification:

·Show a commitment to diversity, equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices

·Professional qualifications to at least level 3 - NVQ or QFC Diploma Level 3 in relevant occupational area

·Teaching qualification - PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS Education and Training Award Level 3 or 4, Cert.Ed.

·Assessor/Verifier Award - D32,33, A1, TAQA Assessor, D34, V1, TAQA IQA

·Minimum of 3 years' experience within Further Education/Work Based Learning assessing competence-based qualification

·Proven experience of training and assessing Level 3 or higher in the subject area

Although an associate role, the hours could be amended to part time or full time for the right candidate.
