  • Arrange visits/contact with participants to induct, observe, and progress participants in the workplace

  • Within guidelines laid down by the awarding body and the client, assess the work of participants in / at the virtual classroom/workshop/workplace within set timeframes and to achieve targets set by management

  • Provide constructive, professional, and relevant feedback to participants in relation to their qualification

  • Observe participants in/at the workplace/ virtual workshop against criteria laid down by the awarding body and give feedback as appropriate

  • Ensure own assessments are accurate and achieve verification agree rates set by management

  • Carry out quarterly Reviews with participants and submit paperwork within agreed timescales

  • Ensure that own allocated participants are progressing in line with their target achievement dates and Liaise with the Programme Manager/s for the purpose of monitoring the progress of qualification/standards achievement

  • Promptly identify situations requiring periods of absence from the programme and complete/submit accurate paperwork as required

  • Ensure that learner records are accurately maintained, including records held within MIS systems and App 360

  • Complete visits to other sites and locations when required or as directed by management

  • Internally verify the work of other Skill Coaches where qualified and directed

  • Maintain positive relations with learners, business partners and all other stakeholders to ensure TQ retains and gains business

  • Help participants to develop positive attitudes towards learning and studying

  • Attend standardisation and team meetings as required

  • Assist in the assessment of other qualifications when required

  • Be flexible over hours of attendance/work, including evenings and weekends where required

  • To undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time

Qualifications

  • Hold relevant training/ teaching qualification

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proven coaching and mentoring skills

  • Outstanding inter-personnel and presentational skills

  • Good IT skills

  • Work under pressure

  • Work under their own supervision

  • Qualified trainer and assessor or have least 5 year training and delivery experience with the management industry

  • Can demonstrate effective learner programme management

  • Work in a target driven environment

  • Proven track record in achieving targets

  • Demonstrate through previously OTLA and standardisation observations is consistently operating as an outstanding or minimum good trainer/assessor

  • Good written skills that captures detailed feedback and target setting of objectives
