Job Description:

Marshall’s Land Systems (postcode is CB5 8RX) are currently recruiting for Skilled Paint Sprayers to work both DAYS and NIGHTS. The role plays a pivotal role in some high-profile military projects, and your ideas and contribution will be valued in a business where people really matter. Training will be provided on the products and there is scope for further development and progression within the Company

HOURS:

Days is 7.15am – 3.45pm Monday to Thursday with a half day finish on Friday’s

Nightshift is Monday - Thursday 9.25 hours (8:30pm start and a 06:15am finish, with a half hour break at 01:00am)

RATES:

DAYS: PAYE pays £21.17 per hour flat rate (£3.29’s worth of holiday pay is paid on top for every hour worked) or Umbrella pays £28.81 per hour (role is inside IR35)

NIGHTS: Rate(s): PAYE pays £23.10 per hour flat rate (holiday pay is paid on top) or Umbrella pays £31.43 per hour (role is inside IR35) Role pays standard for first 37 hours, then reverts to time and a half for overtime (£28.68 per hour PAYE or £39.04 per hour Umbrella)

Your responsibilities in this role include:

  • Spraying components of varying sizes
  • Working with a variety of paints from gloss to matt, water based and solvent
  • Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits
  • Ability to sort all paint defects interior or exterior using various tools and techniques be it by using spray gun, brush head or roller head
  • Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of task
  • Be fully conversant with all equipment, and tools associated with the Paint Spraying process
  • To spray units as per customer specification using electrostatic spray pumps and single/twin pack paints.
  • Check and complete all paperwork associated with the Manufacturing data pack
  • To support the Production Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring that all Marshall Land System projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard
  • Take an active role in continuous improvements, to include lean and 5s procedures
  • Ensure equipment and tooling required is identified to the line manager

Apply if you have the following or equivalent:

  • Time served as a painter with a proven track record of paint experience
  • Experience in commercial vehicle, motor trade and aircraft paint spraying
  • Fully trained in working with various primers and topcoats including water based and solvent based paints
  • City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent time served
