Skills Development Manager required in Middlesbrough
Your new company
The skills development manager will be required to generate apprenticeships, To secure new key accounts with employer organisations that require workforce training and development solutions using a blend of government and commercial funding. Identify and establish constructive partnerships and collaborative working arrangements at an operational level to secure new business. To promote the identity of Northern Skills Group Training & Skills Directorate externally.
Your new role
Your new role will consist of the following: Produce a clearly defined regional territory plan that is fit for purpose and meets all business objectives. Plan and prioritise all regional sales activities and prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including time/performance management targets. Maintain and develop a computerised prospect database. Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally (all Directorates) and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable development. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings (e.g. team briefs, sector meetings, network events) as necessary to perform duties and to aid business development. This role is very sales driven you must be someone who is able to make cold sales call, and push for business.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you must have a NVQ 3 preferably in sales, be a car driver as the role does require you to travel to various locations including Newcastle. You must be an enthusiastic team player, with strong leadership and performance management success and have a strong track record in sales/marketing.
