My client is a well known award winning manufacturer and are now looking to recruit for a Site Support Technician/Manager to represent the business with its customers/clients on Construction sites around the UK and Ireland. The role will involve spending 2-3 days per week out of the office assisting customers ensuring that the products meet quality requirements and however is installing the product is doing so correctly. The successful candidate will conduct product training, negotiating or assisting with site issues/disputes and also offering pre-order support to customers in a way of surveys and product related advice. Whilst based in the Coventry offices you will assist the team with preparation of production and site information to enable the projects to run smoothly as well as organising your time around the needs of the customers. The ideal candidate would be someone who has worked on site with construction based projects, managing the process and ensuring that contractors complete the work on time. 

[ The role ]

- Accountable for reviewing and inspecting quality of work for partner companies and direct installation work

- Assist partners and customers with how to physically install the products taking in to account specific project requirements and challenges (all training will be provided)

- Negotiate and resolve in a fair and professional manner and disputes/claims we receive and assist customers if they have similar issues

- Run training course on the installation of our products to customer and approved partners

- Maintain communications between installation teams and the office team and address any issues from site installation works

- Offer intermediate level technical product assistance on the commercial products to external/internal customers

- Produce RAMS (risk assessment and method statements) 

- Plan any remedial works from the direct installation work

- Conduct any guide our customers and TSM's with complex surveys of projects

- Assist on the pricing of more complex projects - particularly with an eye to the installation elements

[ Person and skills required ]

- Experience of dealing with Site Managers/Project Managers and Quantity for contractors

- Competent understanding of construction type detail drawings and able to understand the requirements to turn them in to reality

- General construction type experience

- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and written

- Willing to travel throughout the UK and potential Ireland with some overnight stays

- Able to be hands on with tools and installation when required

- CSCS card (manager or specific skill card)

- SSS or SMS 

- Competent in MS Office

- Moderate ability in 2D CAD (desirable

- IPAF/PASMA training (desirable)

- SMSTS training (desirable)
