Le Breton Group are working with a world leading group of companies in the manufacture of artificial grass and in the design, construction, installation and maintenance of synthetic and natural sports pitches throughout the UK and overseas.
This role will be involved in supporting all aspects of the planning, construction and delivery of the highest quality artificial surface sports pitches and managing construction sites.
The work will involve varied locations regionally throughout the UK. The successful candidates shall be experienced in construction site management, with the relevant technical and project skills, although training shall be given in relevant industry processes.
Experience in sports pitch construction, artificial surface installation or groundsman ship is preferable. However, we welcome applications from site managers with the right construction skills levels and a positive attitude towards site supervision.
You must be highly organized with sound experience in logistics, resource planning and co-ordination; with a passion and commitment to the delivery of a high-quality customer-focussed service.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and some basic IT skills are required with an ability to solve problems, think creatively, often under pressure. An ability to think ahead and identify risks is critical, as is a commitment to quality and health and safety.
The ideal candiate needs to be based in the midlands to provide more flexibility and less disruption to the employee if allocated a project in the north or the south.
Our client, a design and build of sports pitches are looking for an Installations Site Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The main office is based in Maryport, Cumbria where you will have to visit on the odd occasion, but the role itself will require you to travel nationwide throughout UK as work is delivered on client sites.
The successful site supervisor will be required to:
- To support the Contracts Manager and Contracts Director in the effective and best value planning, construction and delivery of the highest quality sports surfaces across the UK.
- To provide good leadership and supervision of the installations site operatives and third party sub-contractors to ensure that construction and installations work is undertaken professionally, safely and in full compliance with the client brief.
- To ensure that all the company Health and Safety procedures and works instructions are being adhered to by all workers and visitors on site.
The successful site supervisor must have a good level of experience in site groundwork or construction, including pitch laying, macadam, fencing, floodlighting
Hours of work
Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours
