Posted 9 April by Ability Resourcing Easy Apply

Opportunity for a talented Site reliability engineer to join an exciting early stage start up designing and building a personalisation system that understands fashion, providing retailers with data driven and actionable insights.

You will work closely with an incredible team of engineers and data scientists, implementing and deploying algorithms in a scalable manner. As the main Site reliability engineer, you'll be involved in decision making around infrastructure performance, data architecture and deployment process.

You will provide input into which tools are best to use within the build and deployment environment e.g. Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and will show a strong passion for automation, assisting in the processing of large and complex amounts of data.

The Site reliability engineer will work with engineers to improve efficiency of data queries and infrastructure for both online and offline use cases, point out problems or inefficiencies around infrastructure, implementation and algorithms, and monitor performance.

Ideally you will have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, Machine Learning, or related fields. A strong understanding of SQL is also crucial in this role, along with a track record of resolving performance inefficiencies. Experience with AWS and various DevOps tools will be considered favourably (eg. Packer, chef).

We are looking for someone who is determined to solve hard and diverse problems, across both data architecture and infrastructure areas, and that is eager to really shape the technology of the company moving forward.
