Due to continued success and expansion our busy Contracting Department is currently looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Site Manager to take responsibility for the daily operations of our Waste Transfer Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • The effective management of all operational activities including site staff and labour resources

  • Compliance of Health & Safety and Environmental requirements for all staff and visitors

  • To maximise profitability for the company through effective management of products coming in and leaving site

  • To ensure all material delivered to or dispatched from site meets the relevant standards and is fit for purpose in accordance with Site Permits, Working Plans and Company Procedures

  • Organisation of services to meet customers needs

  • To work closely with the Area Manager to monitor and improve productivity and efficiencies

  • Responsibility for the delivery of targeted profits

  • To report maintenance issues on site and assist, where necessary in their resolution

  • To ensure that all records required by Statutory Regulation and Company Procedures are maintained

  • To be responsible for the continual training and development of multi disciplined staff on site and to set appropriate targets that deliver continual improvements

  • Ensuring a high level of housekeeping is carried out and maintained across the site

  • To assist with any other duties required to ensure the smooth day to day running of site.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience of working within a similar capacity is essential
  • Excellent understanding of the hazardous and Non- Hazardous Waste Management industry.

  • Ability to manage a diverse team and lead by example

  • A problem solver and ability to 'think on your feet’

  • Computer literate

  • CPCS card with experience of operating a Loading Shovel along with other heavy plant

  • Minimum of WAMITAB CoTC Level 3 will be required for this role.
