The Company

My clients are a very well established main contractor operating from their offices in Bristol. They work on projects worth up to £10m in value covering new build, refurbishment, general construction, health care, education, commercial, heritage, conservation and residential sectors. Projects are typically in and around the Bristol area.

Due to their continued tendering success with both new and existing clients they are looking to recruit a Site Manager to join their busy and vibrant team on a permanent basis.

The Candidate

You will ideally have at least 2 years previous experience of working for a main contractor in site management, although individuals with less experience will be considered. You will also have the desire to progress your career. You will be diligent, computer literate, confident and have the ability to lead site teams. You will have a confident approach to your work and be able to get on with people from all walks of life. My client will consider applications from people from either a trades background or an academic background (HNC/HND/Degree in a building / construction related topic).

The Role

As a Site Manager you will either work on site as part of a team, reporting into a senior manager or perhaps run your own project reporting in to a visiting Contracts Manager. You will be predominantly site based and jobs may range in value from a few hundred thousand £'s in value up to several million £'s.

Responsibilities will include managing subcontractors in terms of performance and quality and helping to drive the projects through to successful completion and handover to client. Projects are generally within a 40 mile radius of Bristol.

Salary very competitive and negotiable depending on previous experience

Car allowance up to £4200 per annum

Pension contributions up to 4.5%

25 days holiday PLUS bank holidays
