The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
-Financial modelling of strategic planning and formulating both short and long-term business
plans ensuring key business decisions are underpinned with robust financial justification.
-Co-ordination of the site productivity pipeline driving focus towards improvements through
key projects and activities.
-Supervise weekly, period and quarterly closures to ensure all deadlines are hit.
Analyse data and identify risks and opportunities for the flash report and forecast.
-Responsible for all analysis, reporting and forecasting all direct costs and reporting overall site results.
-Establish a robust analytical and business process to analyse direct cost variances on a weekly/period level.
-Investment proposal development and financial appraisal.
-Leader of period end, enforcing key SOX & GCS financial control processes.
-To develop and maintain rigorous financial procedures & controls, as well as bi-weekly, periodic and annual
forecast co-ordination and delivery.
-Provide insight and analysis to drive delivery against the site financial plan
-Develop an effective team working culture and proactively support people development
-A key member of the site leadership team & wider operations team
-To manage the administrative team, driving excellence in their work and continuously striving for
improvements in working practices
-To develop and maintain adequate skills levels within the team to ensure
adequate cover of all functions in the light of holidays, absence and personnel change
-To interpret financial and management information for the senior management team and other
managers, identifying and illustrating opportunities and threats to performance.
-To develop cooperative and close working relationships with other managers to facilitate effective
and early discussion and resolution of all financial performance issues
-Support Ad-hoc projects for the site and business e.g. productivity initiatives, change management, etc.
-Responsible for other key metrics for site performance.
-Liaise with UK Supply Chain Finance Planning Lead
-Liaise with other UK Manufacturing Site finance managers
-Liaise with Procurement team
-Liaise with CTS Lead
The skills and competencies this role requires includes:
-Clear communicator, able to deliver complex messages in a simple manner
-Influencing and relationship building skills across Operations peers, seniors and the site leadership team.
-Flexible approach, a keen eye for detail and the ability to make good, balanced business decisions to meet
future business and customer requirements.
-Is seen as a role model, inspiring trust in those around them whilst promoting an environment of
achievement and recognition.
-Demonstrated drive for results and a can do attitude. Leverages a keen understanding of key
business drivers in own area to get results and facilitate change.
-Financially qualified - management accountant or equivalent (CIMA/ACCA)
-Financial and project management experience in operations environment
-Ability to effectively manage system and people change is a key skill
-Ability to analyse complex situations and recommend correct course of action,
and the ability to offer sound guidance to Senior Management
-Clearly demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate,
empower and coach a large team, both in person and remotely
-Ability to meet deadlines; organization skills, technical expertise, with a passion for detail
-Experience with Product Costing preferred
-Leadership team experience preferred
-High ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation (shop floor to senior leadership team).
