Hays Recruitment are working with one of the leading contractors in Northern Ireland to resource a Site Engineer on a fulltime and permanent basis. This main contractor has been successfully operating throughout the UK & Ireland for over 50 years. They have developed a strong reputation for successfully delivering large scale projects across both public and private sectors. Due to their continued success your new employer has been awarded new contracts and thus now requires an additional Site Engineer.
Your new role
This role will see you fulfil a number of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to; Ensure accurate setting out has been carried out and that drawings, specifications and other contract documents are kept up to date. Ensure that the project programme is available and communicated to the supply chain prior to works commencing and any changes that the operational team is made aware. Chair, minute and circulate subcontractor progress meetings and Produce weekly / monthly progress reports as appropriate. Plan and manage site resources to ensure a safe working environment and to achieve the programme. Ensure accurate daily records are maintained and communicated for labour, material and plant, including Sub-Contractors. Ensure all site activities are undertaken in compliance with SHEQ policies and procedures. Ensure all site personnel, including subcontractors, designers, clients, staff, visitors and others are inducted and have approved risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) in place.
What you'll need to succeed
Due to the portfolio of work it is essential that you will have previous experience on large scale building projects. Previous experience at Site Engineer level will be required. It is expectant that you are CSR registered and have previous experience working within a structured operational team. You should be an ambitious and enthusiastic individual who is well organised and holds strong communication skills
The successful candidate will be willing to travel and work throughout the UK.
