Permanent Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic Nurse to join the team on Ward A5. This is a Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse role which is a band 6 pay band. Ward A5 is a mixed 33 bed medical ward that specialises in acute Gastroenterology, Diabetes and Endocrine medicine. This can often be challenging for the team caring for patients with a variety of mixed medical problems.

The successful candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience as a band 5 staff nurse in an acute Medical ward setting with an interest in gastroenterology and diabetes and endocrine nursing who wishes to extend their clinical practice and take a more senior Clinical and managerial role. The Clinical Sister/ Charge Nurse will be the Nurse in Charge on the majority of their shifts and will strive to be a Clinical expert in order to teach and develop the team to deliver a high standard of care at all times. This compliments the role of the Deputy Ward Managers in supporting the Ward Manager to sustain high standards of care. We are looking for positive, enthusiastic clinical leaders with proven track records of strong leadership, innovative practice and highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills, to help lead our ward teams to deliver an excellent standard of quality care to our patients.
