Showroom Assistant - Interior Design Fabrics
A well-established supplier of interior design fabrics is seeking a showroom assistant to join their team. The company has been trading for many years and is a favourite of interior designers. The company has one main showroom in Chelsea, London plus 2 other showrooms located abroad. This is a busy and varied role and would suit someone who has a strong interest in interior design and fabrics / textiles. Daily duties include:
First point of contact with clients via telephone, email and in person
Confidently present the fabric / textile collections and cross-sell, understanding the interior designers / client’s requirements.
Processing fabric sample requests, client orders, and POs from US via email & orders mail
Maintaining the showroom aesthetic and display, including:
Keeping shelves refreshed and updated with new fabric sample lengths as and when required.
Organising the return of samples
Keeping the cutting folders tidy
Processing the incoming fabric stock orders in a timely and efficient manner
Checking payments in and processing proformas
Managing twice weekly US shipments via fedex
Quality Control - liaising between warehouse staff and client regarding their order post invoice being raised.
Stock take of office supplies, tea and coffee etc and ordering when required.
Check new trade applications and seek advice from management regarding their approval
Assisting at events as directed
Assisting the manager in researching content for Instagram/contributing ideas.
This is a full time, permanent role. 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Salary from £28,000.
