A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an individual to join a flourishing transport and logistics organisation based in Rochdale. They are looking for a Short Distance Transport Clerk to join their growing team. You responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting the short distance (SD) drivers with delivery/collection issues and relaying information to the import/export and service departments
  • SD planning of collections throughout the day
  • Liaising with warehouse, processing unload reports
  • Organising special deliveries
  • Daily KPI reporting
  • Booking in deliveries
  • SD Haulier billing
  • SD driver debriefing - closing cartage notes/archiving PODs

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a transport environment
  • Good geographical knowledge
