Short Breaks Worker
Location: Hackney, Hounslow, Harrow, Camden and/or Waltham Forest
Salary: Up to £9.78 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay dependent upon your experience
Hours per week: Flexible and can work around your availability - this could be Monday - Friday after school, early Evenings or/and Weekends and school holidays?
Our client is looking for caring, enthusiastic individuals to support disabled children and young people up to the age of 25 Years Old on a 1:1 basis in the London Boroughs of Camden, Harrow, Hackney, Hounslow and Waltham Forest.
As a Short Breaks Worker you can help disabled children and young people throughout the borough to access and enjoy activities whilst giving their families a much-needed break from their caring role. Previous experience of working with children, preferably disabled children, is desirable. Training (e-learning) will be provided and you will also have the ongoing support of a local supervisor.
You will need stamina, enthusiasm, a positive outlook and a commitment to providing a high quality service to disabled children. Working hours can be flexible and variable but likely to be mainly at weekends, school holidays or late pm on schooldays.

The charity provides over 120 different services and works with 80 local authorities throughout England. Last year they supported over 11,000 children.
