Shipping Processor - JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for overseeing and completing the efficient day-to-day operations associated with the receiving of goods/exporting of goods to our client.

Based in a workshop environment, you will act as an ambassador for the company and the role will involve training of staff on imports and exports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Functions that fall under the direction of this position include training of staff, procedural management surrounding the import and export of all orders complying with UK export controls. This procedure will involve working closely with the sales staff to determine company checks and parts checks in accordance with HMRC.

The role also involves the following:

o Formal receiving of non-surplus goods - inspect physical goods and match against vendor packing list our client’s system documentation; perform formal receiving processes in appropriate systems against appropriate documents which includes purchase orders, returned goods authorizations (RGAs) for repairs and order returns

o Hand-off of repairs, warranties, parts, non-surplus stock for inventory; delivery of internal assets and supplies to requesting person or department

o Processing and management of customer product returns

o Processing and fulfillment of daily distribution/FNFP orders

o Preparation, packaging, and shipping of all orders

o End-User checks and licenses on exports

o Research, preparation and dispatch/export of Hazardous goods (all by air / batteries by road )

o All export documentation

o Certificates of conformance of sealed exports

o Giving customs clearance on imports

o Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers, customs, government agencies, internal and external customers, and vendors both verbally and written on a daily basis

o Advise sales and customers on dispatches to Europe/ROW on HS codes and country of origin

o Advise shipping department staff on any issues regarding receiving /shipping /invoicing and packing

Key requirements for this role will be experience and knowledge in the following

  • Import and export procedures
  • Import and export documentation, including CFO, ATR and EUR1 certificates
  • Any dangerous goods knowledge
  • Export controls
  • Intrastat

This is a permanent role offering a basic salary of 18-23K.
