Role objectives

To operate a global fleet of chartered LNG, LPG and product tankers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Post-fixture (agency, port, bunker procurement, heel management, insurance, settlements, demurrage, ship-shore compatibility coordination)
• Performance monitoring and reporting; performance claims management
• Chartered fleet co-ordination
• Communication with vessels, vessel owners/operators, shipping teams of GM&T trading counterparties and terminals and other shipping stakeholders
• Close cooperation and support of GM&T group’s teams: Trading, Origination, Business Development and Technical desks in Singapore, London and Zug
• Support of Integrated Maritime Operations System (IMOS) and interaction with Back Office teams globally
• Other responsibilities as directed by management

Skills & Competencies

•Commercial and analytical mindset and proven ability to create value
•First class understanding of shipping technology and commercial issues (with a strong preference for LNG Experience)
•Knowledge and experience in IMOS (or similar), SAP and MS Office
•Pro-active and able to work as part of a global team to ensure a seamless service is provided for our trading activities globally
•Strong desire and ability to learn and develop
•Able to work in a fast-moving environment under pressure
•Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
•Able to work as part of a team, but also individually with minimal supervision
•Ability to build business relationships at all levels (internally and externally)

Experience

•Office-based experience in Shipping Operations with an oil major or a trading house handling LNG vessels (advantageous) or other types of tankers (oil, product, chemical and/or LPG)
•Sea-going experience on tanker vessels as a junior officer (advantageous)
•Language skills: English, fluent written and spoken Mandarin or Russian (advantageous)

•Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Maritime Studies
