Shipping Administrator

Nr Brighton - own transport required

Salary £18.500 - £25.500 + £5,000 bonus for night shift

Hours of work:

2 days (7am to 7pm) followed by 2 nights (7pm to 7am) followed by 4 days off

All applicants must have own transport due to the rural Sussex location.

Hunters’ client is looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic career-focused office worker with an interest, and ideally background in travel, logistics/shipping or aircraft.

The shipping administrator will assist processing shipping orders, adhere to export controls, administration and company procedures, ensuring on time delivery and high service levels. The aviation administrator will enjoy working as part of a busy and vibrant office team.

Our client is looking for evidence of the following skills in the ideal shipping administrator:

Communication - The ability to communicate at all levels

Manage workload & time - The ability to work under pressure, manage time, workload and ensure relevant data is recorded in accordance with procedures and processes

Analytical skills - Problem solving, logical thinking and numeracy skills


Supplier Liaising - Responsible for building successful relationships with designated suppliers through a combinations of written & telephone communication

Customer Support - Responsible for building successful relations and ensuring all suppliers/customers are fully informed with all relevant information with reference to their shipments

Internal communication - Assisting with queries and building successful relationships with all internal departments

Quality - Adhering to quality guidelines and following logistics and company procedures

Email management - Ensuring individual inboxes are organised and cleared down daily

Computer / IT systems - Good knowledge and understanding of Word, Excel outlook and Basic knowledge of all in house systems.

Travel - Occasional requirement to hand carry parts to customers worldwide. Retain a valid passport with you at all times
