Hays are working exclusively with a successful Shipping company to recruit an enthusiastic Shipping Administrator. This is to join an existing expanding and passionate team.
Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and successful business whilst they implement a new department within logistics. Key duties will include; optimising slots onto different ferry routes, supporting and processing of all orders, dealing with customers, following up with emails/ confirmations, sending booking lists, repairs etc, supporting all selfdrive bookings. You will also complete quay checks, pricing enquiries and, update customs authorities with WB sailings.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record working within logistics, ideally from working within the shipping industry. You will also have a strong understanding of export legislation. You will feel comfortable using Excel and creating formulas to track orders and progression. You will thrive on working within a fast paced environment which requires a strong team focus and work ethic.
What you'll get in return
