Shift QC Lab Technician

12 month maternity cover contract

Shift pattern: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am working a total of 35.25 hours a week across 3 shifts

Between 2 and 7 days break between each set of three shifts

£10.36 an hour plus overtime available at enhanced rates

Consult Search and Selection are currently recruiting for a Shift QC Laboratory Technician to join a well-established scientific technology company.

The Company

My client are a well-known manufacturer of products across various industries. They are a reputable company with laboratories and offices around the UK.

At this particular site they develop and manufacture products for microbial screening and rapid hygiene testing, used by various industries including hospital hygiene, monitoring treatment of industrial waters by biocides and food and beverage manufacturers. The products themselves include microbial plates, pathogen test kits and a range of sample handling and media products.

The Job

Working in a GLP ISO9001 laboratory and using aseptic technique, this role is an initial contract of 12 months. You will join an established small to medium sized team and day to day test a variety of products including reagents, bulk formulations and finished products that have been manufactured on site by a range of tests and instruments in a clean environment. You will use a variety of equipment such as spectrophotometry, centrifuges, autoclaves and incubators to perform laboratory experiments and assays. Pipetting is a large part of the role.

About You

Previous experience working in a laboratory Quality Control environment is required.You must have experience in using pipettes.Experience from a clean room environment would be beneficial.
