Work as SHEQ Officer for an NI based Building Contractor who operate from their HQ in Co. Derry. Covering Health and Safety within the construction industry your new employer works within a host of areas including, hotels, stadiums, apartment blocks, social housing complexes, extensions to shopping centres, commercial and retail parks builds. As the SHEQ Officer you will become an integral part of the business and ensure the smooth running of the department. You will be offered an attractive salary and rounded company package.
Your new role
Reporting into a Health & Safety Manager your new role will require you to write up method statements & risk assessments, conduct toolbox talks, produce health & safety reports, carry out accident investigations and take part in audits by third parties. Duties will extend to managing and maintaining an Integrated Management System IMS (for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality processes and procedures in accordance with ISO standards. This role will require monthly site visits but you will mainly operate from the company head office.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a proven track record working in construction and ideally a background in building contracting. You will be required to have strong communication skills both verbally and the written word. Ideally you will be NEBOSH qualified and have a passion for the Health & Safety / Construction industry.
