Our well established engineering client is looking for a skilled sheet metal worker to join their team. If you would like to work in a friendly team with a varied workload where quality is important, this could be the role for you.

Working for a well-established customer base of aerospace, defence, oil and gas, this role would involve Programming, Drilling, tapping and Inspection. Use of tools and the ability to work to complex engineer’s drawings is a must for this role. The successful applicant will have a background in sheet metal programming.

This is a varied role working within a friendly team within an expanding company with a full order book going forward, 25 days holiday, contributory pension and free parking. Apply today for an immediate interview.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities (in order of importance)

1. Programming / checking programming

2. Folding

3. Inspection

4. Drilling & tapping

5. Various tasks to process the jobs through to the next department.

6. Look after the work at all times ensuring it goes through to the next department, as it should.

7. Keep machines and working area clean and tidy.

This established sub contract manufacturing company require a Fine Limit Sheet metal worker who is conversant with programming setting and operating.

This engineer would be able to work with thin gauge 1mm up to 6mm in Mild steel, Stainless steel, Aluminium etc. Fabricating to tight tolerance's.
Must be able to read and understand drawings and work with minimal supervision.
