Sheet Metal assembly and hand fabricator - Horsham

Posted 23 April by Pertemps Easy Apply

Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer of outdoor and indoor heritage and decorative lighting and street lamps. They have a reputation for style and quality with nearly all vintage and decorative street lamps in London being attributed to them. Every light they manufacture is built and assembled by hand in a variety of metals including copper, brass, aluminium and steel. Their manufacturing styles and techniques are still strongly traditional with almost all of their shaping, cutting and fabricating being prepared and assembled by hand. Due to a retirement, they are now looking to employ a confident, experienced, apprentice trained engineer that has a solid understanding of working with hand tools and hand operated machinery including guillotines, punches, nibblers and can work confidently with a variety of light gauge, laser cut sheet metal (up to 3mm thick). This vacancy is a permanent role requiring someone who enjoys working with metal, takes pride in their work and enjoys and appreciates the traditional methods used in designing, fabricating and assembling bespoke products for a wide array of clientèle. Competitive salary, generous pension, 23 days holiday and long term career opportunity for the right person. Immediate interviews.
