SHE Advisor

A major communication infrastructure company is looking for a SHE Advisor to join their growing team - based from one of 3 possible office locations in: Hampshire, Northamptonshire or West Yorkshire you will have a UK Wide Remit and be responsible for driving forward SHE across their variety of sites. The ideal candidate for this role would possess a strong understanding of mechanical & electrical engineering systems. The Role:

  • Reporting into the H&S Manager, this will be a roaming role across multiple live sites ranging in size and value, across the UK
  • You will be responsible for promoting high standards of H&S performance across multiple sites, liaising with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Providing coaching, advice and guidance to all staff on a wide range of H&S issues, promoting a positive H&S culture with forward-thinking ideas and open communication
  • Carrying out accident and incident investigations as required, preparing monthly H&S reports on performance, implementation of company safety policies and procedures, assisting with the integration of company H&S management systems, and carrying out relevant training as required

The Candidate:

  • At a minimum you will need to hold a NEBOSH Certificate, ideally you will hold or be working towards the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of mechanical & electrical engineering systems/equipment
  • Happy to travel across the UK and the occasional overnight stays
  • Strong communicator with stakeholders at all levels; from project teams to senior leadership
