We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated nurse or midwife to join the Nursing Team in Patient and Nursing Services. You must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate a keen interest in Pathway to Excellence® and the Shared Decision Making ethos. This post will develop your knowledge and skills and support NGH in being re-designated Pathway to Excellence in 2022.

The post holder will be Responsible for the co-ordination, facilitation, support and review of Shared Decision Making across NGH. Actively promotes the philosophy of Shared Decision Making across NGH, presents on the topic internally and national events. Monitors and participates in the national agenda for Shared Governance/Decision Making through expert groups such as NAMEuk and national CNO team.

They must be a proactive role model who leads in the clinical environment on the provision of support, education and development to enable teams to implement the Shared Decision Making approach. They must maintain a database of evidence that will support the organisation’s re-submission for Pathway to Excellence® designation
