Severe Learning Difficulties Learning Support Assistant

Time Plan Education are pleased to be working with a primary special school for pupils with severe learning difficulties in the East London Area of Newham. We are recruiting for learning support assistants to focus on creating an environment that meets the specific needs of each child and provide them with the relevant support.

The successful candidate will have experience in working with children with severe learning difficulties, will be dedicated, hands on and motivated. You will be working within a trained and driven team of learning support assistants who ensure each child is catered for such as dressing, washing and eating.

Pupils have access to music therapy, a garden, a speech and language therapist and a physiotherapist. There are both full and part time positions available throughout the school.

To apply for this role, you will need to have:

  • References available from a school setting
  • Experience and or understanding for SLD
  • A current DBS
  • Empathy, loving, enthusiastic and patient personality
