Settlements Administrator - 6 month contract

We are currently recruiting for a leading city based wealth manager within the settlements department. The ideal candidate would have around 2 years experience and will preferably have knowledge of international settlements.

Duties include:

  • Assist Supervisor /Line Manager with updates to departmental procedure manuals
  • Ensure Departmental Daily Check Lists are updated and completed
  • Keep up to date with all changes within the industry
  • Maintain product knowledge through cross training within the department
  • Provide cross-training to other staff members within the team
  • Complete target and goal setting that has been set through appraisal process
  • Transferring/dematerialising stock into/from nominees
  • Preparation of transfer forms into / out of nominees
  • Re-registration of physical stock
  • Updating custody system when transfers of stock have settled
  • Capital Gains Tax (CGIX) administration
  • Crest checking, download of daily report and liaison with dealers/counterparties to resolve issues
  • Processing of Crest stock deposits
  • Processing of equity and bond settlements in both UK and wide range of foreign markets
  • Investigation of unsettled transactions in all markets
  • Production of Daily Unsettled Trades Report
  • Processing of funds settlement
  • Liaison with Global Custodian and Funds Custodians with regard to failed/unmatched trades
  • Dematerialisation of both UK and Foreign physical certificates
  • Cash Memorandum Account daily reconciliation
