Sessional Course Tutor Research Methods (iST Training)

  • Seminars are expected to run for around two hours
  • Based mainly in Norfolk

Childhood First is a charity with a long and successful history of providing integrated programmes of care, education and treatment for traumatised children and young people, together with expert support for their families, carers and associated professionals.

We are recruiting a Research Methods Course Tutor to work alongside the Course Director and Course Administrator to support the successful delivery of the Research Methods module, which is the penultimate module of the MA in Integrated Systemic Therapy.

The post holder will support students in their learning and to coordinate and participate in the supervision and marking of dissertations.

Reporting to the Institute Director, you will take ownership for local trainee experience and success by devising seminar and workshops that meet cohorts specific requirements (both their individual learning needs and to meet the demands of their roles) whilst delivering all the requirements of the Integrated Systemic Therapy programme.

To apply candidates will need:

  • Degree/Professional qualification related to work with children, mental health, social work or education;

  • Training/Tutor/Lecturer/Adult Education Qualification or demonstrable equivalent by experience;

  • Meets the qualification requirements for UKCP or BPC membership (not Associate);

  • Committed to ongoing personal professional development.

    Candidates will need to be experienced in delivering trainings that lead to academic qualifications, and have adequate subject knowledge and experience to be an authentic Course Tutor. Ideally you will have Training/Adult Education qualifications as well as a higher level qualification in a relevant subject but we are able to consider alternative modes for demonstrating competence.Full details and an application pack are available from our website www.childhoodfirst.org.uk.
