We are looking for a highly organised team player to join our Involvement & Services team, delivering and co-ordinating our peer support services to people living with arthritis.
About the role
This is a part-time (21 hours) home-based role working across the North-East area. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated services and volunteer coordinator to help shape services for people living with arthritis, in the local area. You will be joining a passionate team providing high quality services to people with arthritis, helping people take greater control of their condition and make positive, informed choices to live well with arthritis.
You will be working alongside our committed and highly motivated branches and groups peer support network. At times, there may be additional travel for team meetings and to cover for other Service Coordinators in the North. You will be working with an established and supportive team.
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge or experience of developing and delivering peer support services.
Experience of working with volunteers, including recruitment and support.
Good information technology skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Able to operate across a wide range of teams and individuals at all levels
Efficient and well organised, with the ability to prioritise and meet demanding deadlines.
Demonstrable understanding of the social model of disability
