In our data driven online environment you'll find lots going on behind the scenes of our technology stack. As a Service Support Analyst, this is your chance to use your IT support experience on our global data platform. Your internal customers will all need to have a stream of accurate data at their fingertips - so it's up to you to keep the systems running smoothly.
We run a 24/7 rota including weekend and overnight work. You'll resolve issues and restore service across a variety of systems including UNIX, Apache, Hadoop, SQL and Microsoft Applications. We're embracing some really cool, cutting edge tech, so if you're a bit of a geek with an interest in AWS / Cloud, you could learn a lot. (And maybe teach us a thing or two.)
You'll work autonomously, but help and support from a large team is there when you need it. You'll need to be able to consume a lot of information and ask the right questions to help you find solutions. Good written and verbal communication skills are important as you'll maintain relations with data technology colleagues, stakeholders and third parties.
You'll need to use your technical expertise to overcome challenges from stakeholders, and be confident when explaining your ideas.
We'd like to hear from experienced IT Service Analysts with knowledge of working in a service desk supporting a wide range of technology services. Your expertise in UNIX (desirable) Apache, Microsoft Servers and SQL would be valuable. It would be great if you've had exposure to datawarehousing and cloud technologies too.
You'll join a data management team who all enjoy getting the best out of technology. We work hard, but like to have fun and encourage each other. It'll do will never do - we like to go one better.
