Job Description: Service Manager (Engineering)

Full Time & Permanent: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm

Salary: Highly competitive, dependant on experience

Location: Gateshead / North East

Interaction are proud to be representing an outstanding industrial company with head office premises in Gateshead - due to recent unprecedented growth, they require an individual with expertise in engineering to support the North East region and oversee all service solutions and maintenance requirements for over 300 key clients.

The successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity to develop their management career in this autonomous role, reporting into the Branch Manager. The role requires a knowledgeable, ambitious, self-driven and committed leader, with expertise in the field to liaise with field service engineers confidently.

The Role -

-Manage a team of 30-35 field engineers and account management of approximately 300 clients, with support of the Branch Manager and in-house administration team

-Responsible for H&S of all engineers and equipment

-Involvement in quotations and customer consultation to deliver exceptional service

-Flexibility to travel, required when visiting clients or checking into mobile branches around the North East

-Directly impact the departments financials and growth through careful monitoring of material requisition/preparation

-Manage & assist engineers workload and monitor field operative productivity

-Responsible for vehicle and equipment management and service request delivery / execution

The Candidate -

-Previous service engineering and management experience

-Mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge bias

- Self-driven, committed, tenacious, passionate & energetic
